The Man Called Megz is an independant and unsigned artist from the south of the UK. A singer songwriter for many years privately Andy Pearson known as The Man Called Megz returned to producing his own style of music in the early 2020’s looking to produce the kind of sounds reminiscent of his formative years whilst blending them together to produce a style all his own.
From 80’s new wave, 90’s alternative and Grundge to classic and modern pop and punk there’s no defining genre to encompass every track. Instead Andy’s music ranges where inspiration takes including into areas beyond typical guitar based music. The key phrase is sonically interesting and exploring melodies, beats and sounds that inspiure mood and vibe rather than fitting a formula.
Lyrically Andy’s music tends towards the introspective covering a wide range of the emotions afflicting the human condition. However this isn’t the only source for the words that appear in his songs. Punchy socio-political musings can be found in the back catalogue though it is fair to say Andy finds most pleasure in attaching meaningful lyrics to a melody that matches them.
Andy’s music is generally available on Soundcloud initially, often releasing part formed or early draft mixes of songs for general consumption and feedback from peers. Tracks are then mixed and mastered externally and will be released from that point on.
